Print, Copy, Scan

Print, copy, scan

At BTH, there are a number of multifunction printers that can be used for printing, copying and scanning.

All printing jobs are sent to a joint queue called BTHprint and can be retrieved at any printer using your BTH card or by logging in with your account.

What do I need to print, make copies or scan documents?

  • A student account or a BTH card so that you can ID yourself to the printer
  • A personal Dibs account to pay for your printouts

How do I pay for my printouts?

Printing and copying services must be paid for through the DIBS/NETS system.

Log in at the print portal, https://print.bth.se and click on “Fylla på saldo” in the menu to the left.
The first time you pay in the portal, you create a profile that you later can reuse. Most debit/credit cards are accepted. It is important to know that the money you buy prints/photocopies for in the portal can not be paid back. Do not deposit more funds to your print account than what you think you need. The minimum amount is 5 SEK.

What does it cost?

The prices below are per printed/copied page (in SEK):

Black/White A4: 0,85
Double-sided Black/White A4: 0,77 (per side)
Colour A4: 1,70
Double-sided colour A4: 1,54 (per side)
Black/White A3: 1,70
Colour A3: 3,40
Plotter A1: 15,00
Plotter A0: 30,00

If the printer notices that the balance on your account is too low, it will delete the printing job from the queue without notice. We recommend you divide large printing jobs into several smaller jobs. If the document is 200 pages, you should print 50 pages at a time.

Scanning to email is free.

Where are the printers located?

Multifunction printers are located in the hallways outside the computer rooms. You will also find printers in the following locations:

Karlskrona:

Library, top floor outside Lövsalen
Library, lower floor H226
Building H, 4th floor
Building C, C442

Karlshamn:

P3314 outside the elevator

For software, select HP DesignJet Z2100 24″ for the A1 plotter, and HP DesignJet Z2100 44″ for the A0 plotter.
NB: If your printing account balance is too low for printing on a plotter, your printing job will be deleted from the queue without notice.

Scanning

When scanning a document to an email, it is important to remember that essentially all email accounts have an attachment size limit. BTH’s email for students allows attachments of 15 MB. (Gmail and Yahoo allow attachments of 25 MB, and Hotmail, Live, Telia, etc. allow only 10 MB.)

To give an example, 12–14 pages in full-colour PDF amount to approximately 10 MB.
