From Tuesday 20 June, you must use two-factor authentication (2FA) when logging in to many of BTH’s systems and services. You will have to enter both your password and, for example, a code that is sent to your phone. Two-factor authentication strengthens your protection against account hijacking and data loss.

We recommend using the Microsoft Authenticator app. Here’s how:

You can turn on two-factor authentication even after June 20. When you log in next time, you will be prompted to set up two-factor login and will be guided further in the process.

How does two-factor authentication work?
Two-factor authentication involves an extra security step in addition to your password to confirm that you are you. Then you need a mobile phone or a hardware key to be able to log in. After entering a correct password, confirm your login via mobile or hardware key.

Why should I use two-factor authentication?
We need to be able to ensure that only you log in and have access to your information and functions in our systems.
